Journey Through Innovation
Hi, I’m Heer Soni — a Computer Science student at Indiana University’s Luddy School specializing in Software Engineering with minors in Virtual Reality, Data Science, and Informatics. I build enterprise automation, immersive experiences, educational games, and polished applications. Journey Through Innovation
Chapter 01
I connect technical problem-solving with creative design, building work that feels thoughtful, useful, and memorable.
Chapter 02
I earned 1st Place in the Independent Business Plan event at the Indiana DECA State Career Development Conference. The experience strengthened my entrepreneurship, business strategy, presentation, and professional communication skills.
Chapter 03
After advancing from the Indiana state competition, I represented Indiana at DECA’s International Career Development Conference and earned international recognition. I was among the top 7% of competitors in my event. DECA helped me build confidence, leadership, and the ability to communicate ideas under pressure.
Chapter 04
I earned 1st Place at the 2025 InnovateHer Technology Showcase and Competition for my Asteroids Arcade Game. I designed, developed, demonstrated, and presented the project to an audience of undergraduate and graduate students.
Chapter 05
At CNO Financial Group, I am developing an automated framework that transforms SAP BusinessObjects metadata into Power BI semantic models, generates TMSL/XMLA deployment files, and supports enterprise deployment and Denodo connectivity.
Chapter 06
I received the CEW&T 2026 Rising Star Leadership Award for initiative, growth, leadership potential, and collaboration. My leadership also includes serving as XR Lead Intern, mentoring students as an Undergraduate Instructor, and representing Luddy as a Student Ambassador.
Chapter 07
I’m drawn to experiences where technology disappears into the environment — theme parks, XR, interactive spaces, and storytelling systems.
Chapter 08
I was selected as a GHC Scholar and will attend the Grace Hopper Celebration in Anaheim, California, from October 27–30, 2026. I look forward to connecting with technologists, learning from industry leaders, and exploring opportunities in software engineering, enterprise technology, and immersive computing.
I combine software engineering, data engineering, enterprise business intelligence, and immersive technology to build systems that are automated, scalable, and user-centered.
